If the school says "come get your diploma" and the kid continues to whine that he didn't get a diploma, the kid is now in the wrong.

Where's mpano to explain how 70+ years of established brainwashing has managed to keep this kid from obeying his eductional master and picking up the diploma and dropping the issue.

I highly disagree that it is 100% of teachers. In fact I can give you at least 12 names of conservative teachers that I know personally that loathe the NEA and do not subscribe to their agenda.

What you are saying is akin to saying all doctors are pushing for universal healthcare. Not all doctors are.

It is some, not all.

Agree, wholeheartedly! In my church alone (conservative, evangelical Christian), I can think of at least 8 public school teachers at various points in their careers. There are good teachers out there. And...::gasp::...I also believe it's possible to be a good teacher and not be a conservative. So slap me now.

I homeschool for a number of reasons, but one of the main reasons is because the system is broken.

My apologies, you misunderstood me. I never claimed it was 100% of the teachers; I stated that you were 100% wrong in the statement that it is just a few teachers. While not all teachers may support this, the NEA leadership ACTIVELY supports it, and openly, and has stated so time and time again for the last several decades.

There are some good teachers out there, just as there are some good Teamsters and UAW members. Sadly they all are forced to belong to some very fucked up organizations!
