Miller Lite: Protection C-Store
Chicago Sun-TimesH/TMiller Lite beer's new "Protection" campaign, prominently featuring actor Frank Vincent from the HBO mobster hit "The Sopranos," is being pulled after Chicago representatives of the Italian-American community lashed out over the stereotypical mafia depiction of Italian Americans in the ads.![]()

If you want to see today's mafia...all you have to do is look at the Obama Administration
Ok I just saw this commercial while watching the NBA finals tonight. They haven't pulled it yet.
Stereotypes are going to happen. Why do they happen? Because they happen to be based on what that cultural group actually does.
Look, my ancestry is part Irish and part Indian (American). I have ZERO problem being labeled as someone who likes to hit the sauce. Why in fact, it is true! When I was born, the amniotic fluid was 100 proof!
So Mexicans shouldn't get mad when they are labeled this or that, Italians, blacks, orientals, etc, etc. If they want it to stop, they have to stop it themselves within their own culture.
But speaking as Irish/ Indian, I simply don't give a shit what what label I carry...for it is probably true to some degree.

Stereotype is simply a negative term liberals call the earned reputation of any group. Let's face it, all our ancestors have some funny reputations and cultural quirks. There's nothing wrong with them, or mentioning them in fun. The liberals do this as part of their class warefare strategy. The funniest Pollock jokes and Mexican jokes I've ever heard were told to me by Pollocks and Mexicans themselves.
Many are based in reality. But that doesn't serve the class warfare strategy of the communists.![]()
Shame - these ads are mildly funny. I see them more as a takeoff of the Sopranos.
On the extremely gay side are the Lite Beer commercials where the jackass who thinks he's Jerry Seinfeld is telling jokes about beer that AREN'T jokes (only he calls it "beah"), and the crowd (presumably in a comedy club) laugh and chuckle knowingly. That commercial makes me want to clime the nearest bell tower.
