A U.S. Marine from San Jose has been granted "conscientious objector" status by a federal court. The marine asked to be released from his duties because he has a moral objection to killing.

You don't join the Marines, if you think you are not going to kill someone.
Marines kill people.You don't join the Marines for the college benefits, you go to your local community colllege for that..

Isn't that the point of joining the marines...killing people and blowing stuff up. They should have a contract that they sign where they acknowledge that they might have to kill.
My hubby just told me, before he had joined the Marines, that he was asked numerous questions, an actual checklist that the recruiter fills out, and one of those questions was do you have a problem with having to kill someone.
