Minutemen Installing Ariz. Border Fence
Scores of volunteers gathered at a remote ranch Saturday to help a civilian border-patrol group start building a short security fence in hopes of reducing illegal immigration from Mexico.
The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps plans to install a combination of barbed wire, razor wire, and in some spots, steel rail barriers along the 10-mile stretch of private land in southeastern Arizona.

While I applaud their efforts, this just reminds me what an outrage and atrocity it is that this type of thing must be done. I couldn't be much more livid at our Congress for what has happened to our country. They bear direct responsibility for this. It is their doing and is an international embarressment to us all. Our only hope of any sensible action appears to be in the House, and I'm not holding my breath. The US Senate has tried everything possible to sell us out and will try to push over the House. And yes, the GOP is probably in for some huge surprises come November. They have it coming, in spades.

All our congress wants is VOTES-both parties. Actually doing their jobs( you know, what they were elected BY THE PEOPLE to do) is far down on their list of priorities.

Ranchers Add Ladders to Save Border Fences
A few Texas ranchers tired of costly repairs to cattle fences damaged by illegal immigrants have installed an easier route over the U.S.-Mexican border - ladders.
"It's an attempt to get them to use the ladders instead of tearing the fences," said Scott Pattinson, who owns one of a group of ranches known as La Copa.
