This nauseates me.

Knowing that our public education system is overflowing with anti-Bush, anti-war leftoid moonbats, they do all they can to indoctrinate our kids.
My son (who thankfully got switched out of this class) had a history teacher this term who was using her platform to spew anti-Bush crap on high school history kids. My son said she said the following in her class during the first WEEK:
"The reason the space shuttle is no longer being funded is so Bush has more money for the war in Iraq."
"It's Bush's fault that gas prices are going up."
Two things about these rantings ticked me off: (1) They have no relevancy whatsoever to teaching US History (at least not according to the syllabus), and (2) The are factually incorrect.
Considering we live in a super RED county in Georgia, I was surprised we had any liberals around here. Guess she moved here from Berkeley or Seattle...![]()

Thats weird, I used to have an economics teacher that used his position to spew pro-bush crap. Teachers have always done this though. They say their own opinions in class. On younger kids they rub off, and in tern may become the childs opinion. But in high school, it not really a big deal. Students learn to disagree with an authority figure after a while and it becomes less of an issue.Originally Posted by GOPSldr

Fez, your post is irrelevant. The point was (again), her remarks had nothing to do with the class, and they were incorrect. Whether pro-Bush or anti-Bush, teachers should stick to teaching the curriculum, and not use their position as a "bully pulpit" to push their views on to students.
Fortunately my son is intelligent enough to know that, but that also misses the point. Teachers by virtue of their position are generally considered "authority figures" and we have taught our son to respect authority figures (police, teachers, etc.).
Your statement that "kids learn to disagree with authority figures" is a flawed generalization. Maybe YOU learned to disagree with authority figures, but my son has been raised differently.

Fez is a freak. Always has been, always will be. The goof uses a Reservoir Dogs avatar. That's like Michael Moore doing a Subway commercial. Token liberal for Mighty Righty, but always worth a laugh. Like having a monkey around. Ooooh oooh aaahhh aaaahhh. Scratch scracth scratch.

Did you guys even read my reply, or just instantly jump on the yell at Fez bandwagon. What I said if you can read, is that all teachers do this. It is a very hard thing to not allow your opinions into your teaching. Most teachers do stay on topic, but they always voice their opinion on a subject. It would be very hard to stop this. Im not condoning what the teacher in GOP's story did, im just saying that it happens and you can't really do much about it.
Liberals seem so angry all of the time.
