    Change.gov

Why does the government need to collect e-mails and addresses from citizens in order to share their stories with the President-Elect? What purpose does the OPE have for this information? Are they hoping to build a list to sell to political allies, or perhaps just to telemarketers to help pay off the deficit? Since this is hosted as a government site, I think they need to explain what official use they will make of this information.

How did a private organization get a .gov url?

You watch, in the future I bet there will be some .gov URLs that are a front for gathering information by some "oppressed" groups disguised as "wellfare" programs.

    Re: Change.gov

Obama's New Government Website "Change.Gov." Is A Changing
Office of the President-elect (whatever the hell that means) "Change.gov." ("America Serves") is editing.

Internet brownshirts must have alerted the "one" about his wording of requiring community service.

The words have now been changed to:
Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by setting a goal that all middle school and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year and by developing a plan so that all college students who conduct 100 hours of community service receive a universal and fully refundable tax credit ensuring that the first $4,000 of their college education is completely free. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.
    Original wording:
Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.
Maybe Obama should have a wiki page instead if he really wants to have a honest and open government. We could see the edits then.

    Hopey, changey indeed.

Like he's gonna cut college funding. So what if a kid doesn't do 100 hours, no tax credit for $4000 and the tax payers get to pick up the bill?

    Re: Change.gov

I love how idiots will argue over $4,000 for a kid to get a proper education. But when it comes to $800,000,000,000.00 for rich banking CEOs to blow, then nothing gets said.

Ron Paul is the only Republican politician with any dignity left. This is coming from someone who's not even a Ron Paul supporter.
