Oh don't get me wrong. I think she totally dishonored her son's sacrifice by her actions. She had her talk with the Prez, then went on demanding more. Here's just why I am distrusting of some of these alleged veterans groups. This group has passed off a guy as a retired Lt Col of the Marine Corp and he's actually an escaped mental patient who has never been a Marine.

WTF? i see your point. But Winter Soldier and IVAW are anti-war groups. IAVA is a groups that lobbies for the troops. I think Perry was right about alot of what he said. It makes me wonder if some mud wasn't being slung towards them because of that. I just know one thing: Perry may be a LIBERAL (and he, our commander, and I had some very interesting, and heated at times, disscussions) but he never, ever lied to me about anything...ever!

I'd just be damned careful about supporting any of these newer groups. There are too many liberal agendas being played and they love to sucker the troops and our vets. I put my support in the old established, proven groups only. I'm not going to be suckered by the likes of that Kerry asshole or any like him. And they are out there working hard to do just that.

Yeah funny, considering there is no such thing as the 1st Marine Expeditionary Unit or the 13th Combat Logistics Battalion... Both Marine units do not exist…

Secondly, a Battalion is usually run by a Light Colonel or Full Bird... I don’t think I have ever seen a Captain as a Battalion Commander....

Thirdly, this nut job claims he was openly queer and his whole battalion knew it... Yeah, somehow I don’t think that would work too well, especially as a "Battalion Commander..."

A lot of leftist nuts try very hard to get into these groups and steer them to leftist causes. Many get it done. I really think many of these new veterans groups sound good but are wolves in sheeps attire. I have become very distrustful of them and know they should be able to spot the phonies very quickly, but don't. They keep letting these total lunatics guide their activities. If some nut tells you he was a battalion or group commander as a lieutenant, or when he was 23, he's lying. If he claims he held some duty title aboard a B-52 that doesn't exist, he's lying. If he doesn't know the simple acronyms or the terms used regularly, he's lying. These groups should demand to see the long form DD 214.

Coincidentally, they have been on this site. I first found this site by accident and took a look at some posts. There was a guy who claimed to be a BUFF (B-52) flight crew member with a duty title I never heard of, claimed to be a 24 year old AF Lt Col, and claimed to have been wounded by shrapnel the size of a buick and recovering, but wasn't DNIF and didn't even seem to know what it meant. I notified an admin they had a faker and was invited to post here. I have been since. These fakes attempt to gain respect and sympathy to affect your beliefs. Some are even very good at it. Be careful. Wars bring them out of the wood work.
