Now that is just full of win!!!
Love it!The rough economy has been particularly tough on car dealers, so many of them have come up with innovative promotions to get vehicles off the lot.
And then there’s this: starting in August, Mark Muller, president of Max Motors in Butler, Missouri will be giving away a free AK-47 assault rifle with the purchase of any truck. Muller spoke to Carol Costello on CNN’s “American Morning” Friday.
Now that is just full of win!!!

Ah, that's a fun interview. I love how the reporter really couldn't stay on point. The dealer had some weird responses at the end, but it's not his interview, you could tell she tried taking him down a road he wasn't ready for, but utterly failed to get her point across!
I do like his idea though, and I hop it drums up sales for him (again). IF I ever needed a pickup (which, frankly, I don't ever see happening) then I would defiantly make the trip to get it from him!
I don't think she was against guns at all. The only real questions she asked about it is, why an AK-47, (It's not, it's for a voucher, they can get whatever gun they want within that price range, or a discount on a more expensive one) and if some people find God and Gun in the same motto to be objectionable (I guess not, as he seemed really confused as to why anyone would object to it). She really didn't seem to be against the whole "buy car, get gun"
Love how they insert assault into the rifle's description. One troubling thing, isn't an AK considered a class III weapon which the feds make you get a special license to own?
If its an actual AK-47 and not a Semi-Auto copy, which is what most so called 'assault weapons' are, semi auto copies of military weapons, then yes. Not to mention horrendous prices
Im sure the gun hes vouching is just one of many copies of a 'real' AK that semi-auto only
My favorite part.....
We live down here and we’re real firm believers in the Second Amendment and we don’t want to become victims. I live out in the country – 15 miles from the dealership here on 1200 acres – and the response time to my home is about 15 minutes. And if I’m counting on the police – we have a great police force in Bates County, great sheriff, great police in Butler where we live – response time is still 15 minutes no matter how great the people are and how great their intentions are. And I would rather defend myself. The only 911 call I need is chambering a round. And I think that’s the case of most people down here.

an AK-47 isn't a Class III firearm unless it is fully automatic. I can by them (semi-auto) here in my state all day long with no license.
^ yes that. But I think there are more semi-auto AK's in this country than full-auto.Originally Posted by NonConformist
